Carmello
aka: Carmy, Smarmy. Bio: Carmello was a runt, abandoned by her mother a few weeks after birth, considering her family history its not surprising. Her mother, Smoke was also a runt, and she only successful raised one kitten from Carmello's litter, to maturity, her brother Cinder . Carmello had to be bottle fed, because she was much too young to be weaned. It soon became clear that Carmello was a fraidy cat. She was frightened of all people who were unfamiliar to her and cowered, growled and hissed when introduced to new people. Unfortunately Carmello would refuse to accept a new person, until months of familiarity had been established. Carmello devotes much love and affection to her caretaker and insists on following her everywhere. At 3 years old Carmello has since ended her cowering and hissing defense mechanism toward "new" people. Her new defense is to lure unsuspecting individuals to her by rolling on her back and displaying her fluffy white belly, a temptation hard to resist, even if you know its a trap. Upon kneeling to pet Carmello she will grab your wrist and then kick you with her hind feet... which happen to have claws. Special Skills: Cat Walking: Carmello is leash trained and capable of leading her caretaker on a walk around the neighborhood. She prefers sidewalks, and likes to run on the way home. Homing Pigeon: Carmello enjoys exploring the vast wilderness. Upon hearing her caretaker call her name Carmello returns home. Welcome Home: When Carmello's caretaker returns home, Carmello runs to greet her, sometimes jumping onto the hood of the car, where she will wait to be petted or hugged, before returning to her adventures. |
Custard
aka: Pudding, Pudding pants. Bio: Custard was a stray kitten, about 3 months old. She was scroungy, starved and extremely gassy. When she was first taken in Custard had an insatiable appetite, and tried to scarf down way more food than a little kitty should. Carmello was so displeased with her new sister that she growled for 3 days, even when Custard was not in the room. It seems that the trauma of Custard's past emerged in a fear of going outside, and over-eating. Custard is very friendly, patient and docile, though shy around children. She loves sitting with or on her caretaker whenever she can. Special Skills Alarm Clock: Custard loves food. Each morning she will sit by her cartaker until she opens her eyes or shows some other sign of waking up. Custard will then make sure her caretaker does not return to sleep by gently touching her caretakers nose repeatedly with her paw until she gets up. Bird Whisperer: Custard spends a lot of her time at the window chirping at birds. I wonder if they talk back to her. Hoarder: Custard is fond of shiny/stretchy/ and noisy things. She takes them and hides them under her caretakers bed. She is really a dragon hoarding her treasures. Yarn Webs: Custard spins webs of yarn all across the house, tangled around the furniture. These webs are truly a feat of cat engineering. |
